Carter Burns came to the University of Georgia from Millsaps College where he earned his BA in English before graduating from the University of Mississippi School of Law. He is currently working toward his Master of Historic Preservation in the College of Environment and Design. This past summer, Carter interned with the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation in Washington, D.C. Through his work with Archway, Carter hopes to be able to help communities with economic development through historic preservation. He also hopes to use his legal and preservation knowledge in the future to help communities manage their historic resources.
