Anna Strickland joined the Archway team in January 2017 as the Archway Professional in Hart County. Before coming to Archway, she was the director of events and member relations at the Georgia Agribusiness Council (GAC), a chamber-like group for agriculture-related businesses in Georgia. Prior to GAC, she was a 4-H extension agent in Crisp County.
Anna earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural communication and a Master of Agricultural Leadership from the UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES). Her thesis investigated perceptions of the millennial generation in the agricultural workplace. She now is pursuing her doctorate in Learning, Leadership, and Organization Development from the UGA College of Education.
Anna has actively participated in local and state level leadership programs throughout her life including Teen Leadership Cherokee, Leadership Cordele-Crisp County, Advancing Georgia’s Leaders in Agriculture and Forestry, and GeorgiaForward Young Gamechangers. She recently graduated from the Georgia Academy for Economic Development and the UGA Public Service and Outreach Facilitation Academy. She is on the UGA CAES Alumni Association board of directors, the Georgia 4-H State advisory committee and the Athens Technical College Agriculture Program advisory committee. She also serves on the UGA CAES Alumni Association board of directors, the Georgia 4-H state advisory committee, and the Athens Technical College agriculture program advisory committee.
A native of Ball Ground, Georgia, Anna and her husband Tyson currently reside in Madison County.
