The Griffin+Spalding Archway Partnership has announced the arrival and start of the new Archway Professional, Brittany Bullock.

Bullock comes to Archway and the University of Georgia from the Technical College System of Georgia where she worked in the WorkSource Georgia program. Bullock worked on business services and engagement strategies, building community collaboration, grant writing and improving workforce pipelines.

“I am excited to welcome Brittany to the community. The Archway Professional is in many ways the glue that holds the local partnership together. I am confident with Brittany’s background and experience she will bring energy and innovative ideas to our organization,” said Chuck Copeland, President and CEO of First National Bank of Griffin and co-Chair of the Archway Partnership Executive Committee.

During her time with the Technical College System, she worked extensively with many of the partners that are involved in assisting the Archway Partnership work on issues in Spalding County, including the Georgia Department of Economic Development and the state’s Workforce Development Board. She was intimately involved in the development of policy and strategic initiatives around these issues and brings a zeal for the foundations of economic development to Spalding County.

Bullock will take the baton from Griffin+Spalding Archway Partnership Operations Coordinator Angel Jackson, who has been serving as interim for the last year. Jackson is a native of Griffin and has been involved with the Archway Partnership in Griffin+Spalding since it became a part of the program in 2015. “We are so excited to have Brittany on board and I am confident that she will do an outstanding job working in collaboration with our partners across Griffin+Spalding County.”

Bullock studied Political Science for her bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro and attended UGA for her graduate studies, receiving a master’s degree in Public Administration.

Bullock is a member of the Georgia Department of Economic Developers Association, as well as the Southeast Employment and Training Association.

The Archway Partnership is a unit of Public Service and Outreach at UGA. It connects Georgia communities to the full range of higher education resources available at the university to address critical community-identified needs. Griffin+Spalding is one of 13 communities selected for the Archway Partnership since the program began in 2005.
