Biography

Aaron serves as the Archway Professional for Burke County.  He joined Archway in October 2021 after working for the UGA Department of Public Administration and Policy for seven years.  There he worked in student recruitment and career services, frequently networking with employers to provide professional development opportunities to graduate students.

Prior to starting his career with UGA, Aaron worked in the finance sector (mortgage and loans) and for several years with the U.S. Forest Service as a wildland firefighter in Montana and Colorado.

His interest in community development began while interning with the Athens Clarke County Leisure Services Department and has continued to grow through his current involvement in local transportation boards; TSPLOST Citizens Advisory Committee and Athens In Motion (AiM) Commission. He completed the Georgia Academy for Economic Development in 2019.

A proud Double Dawg (B.A. Political Science 2005 and MPA 2013), Aaron loves cheering for the Dawgs on fall Saturdays with the hope that one day they’ll win it all.  He calls Athens home and makes frequent trips to the mountains to go backpacking and canoeing.
