Jimmy was appointed an Archway Professional for Look Ahead Georgia in September 2024. With a diverse background in education, nonprofit management, and community development, Jimmy brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Before joining Archway, he served with DVOR, an international nonprofit in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he taught English and led impactful community development initiatives. Notable projects include constructing a small skate park in rural Bosnia and coordinating a 150-foot collaborative mural with local artists.

Prior to his work overseas, Jimmy was involved with Cafe1040, a internationally-focused student nonprofit in Alpharetta, Georgia, where he contributed to the organization’s mission of empowering young adults. He also held the position of Associate Director of Nonprofit and Government Employer Relations at the UGA Career Center, where he built connections between students and career opportunities in public service. Although he is new to the Archway Partnership, Jimmy is no stranger to UGA and the Athens community.

Jimmy holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Kentucky and pursued a Master’s degree in Counseling at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. During his academic journey, he was actively involved in student government, demonstrating his commitment to leadership and community engagement.

A resident of Athens, Georgia, Jimmy lives with his wife, Christen, and their three teenage children: Ayden, Carson, and Macie. He enjoys exploring new cultures through travel, trying diverse cuisines, and learning new languages. An avid fan of period dramas, he is particularly fond of Masterpiece on PBS and British dramas.
