Michelle Elliott was appointed the third director of the Archway Partnership in 2021. She is the first woman to serve in this role. As director, Michelle oversees eight Archway communities located across the state of Georgia and provides coordination of University faculty and student resources to assist with locally-identified issues. In 2022, Archway launched the Connected Resilient Community (CRC) initiative, a new certification that recognizes resilient communities and helps them tap into the resources and expertise at the University of Georgia and broadens the reach of the Archway Partnership in the state.

Michelle joined the Archway Partnership in 2011 as a public service faculty member in Pulaski County to work with the community in addressing economic and community development issues in partnership with the University. In 2017, she became an Archway Operations Coordinator, overseeing the work of Archway and UGA connections in four counties: Colquitt, McDuffie, Pulaski and Washington.

Michelle has a doctorate in Public Administration from Valdosta State University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Georgia College and State University.
