Dr. Sue Chapman returned to the Archway Partnership in a temporary faculty role in November, 2023. Previously, Chapman served as the Associate State 4-H Leader for the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension from 2016 – 2023. Prior to this role, she served as the Operations Coordinator for the Archway Partnership for 7 years and as the State Coordinator for Family and Consumer Sciences Extension for 9 years. She is a recipient of the Walter Barnard Hill Award for Distinguished Achievement in Public Service and Outreach.
During her time at UGA, she has managed over $10 million in community-based grants, contracts, and program income. She is a trained group process facilitator, with experience in developing team-based organizations, implementing quality improvement practices, leading community and economic development efforts, and providing educational programs to diverse groups. Before her appointment with the University of Georgia, Sue worked for almost 15 years in healthcare education, volunteer management, and human resource development. She is a “Double-Dawg,” having received a Doctor of Education degree in adult education and a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the University of Georgia. She also holds a Master of Science degree in industrial/organizational psychology from Valdosta State University. Chapman is a Georgia native, currently residing in Barrow County.
