Valerie joined the Archway Partnership in February of 2025 and serves as the Archway Professional for Dublin-Laurens County.
Valerie is a Double Dawg, with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science (2003) and a master’s degree in Agricultural Leadership (2004). Following graduation, she began her career as the District Executive for the Central Georgia Council of the Boy Scouts of America. There she was responsible for community outreach, training and managing volunteers, fundraising efforts, and developing programming for an eight-county region.
Valerie entered the education realm in 2006 and served as a middle school science and social studies teacher at Gray Station Middle School in Jones County and later, GMC Prep School in Milledgeville until 2016. Following her time in the classroom, she became the director of St. Stephen’s Day School in Milledgeville. During her tenure as director, Valerie managed the day-to-day operation of the school including enrollment, licensing, curriculum, budget, human resources, training, and professional development. The preschool successfully completed two Quality Rated renewal processes under Valerie’s leadership.
Valerie resides in Milledgeville with her husband and three teenage children and enjoys reading, gardening, cooking and Lake Sinclair.
